Thank you for your interest in learning more about Rotary.   I serve as the Membership Chair of the Manchester Rotary Club and stand ready to answer any questions and can steward you through the process of learning more about Rotary and becoming a member of our Club if you choose.

 

The first step would be to come to a meeting as our guest to see how you like the club, and if you think it would be a good fit. 

 

If you decide if it's right for you, we ask that you fill out our simple application, which then gets approved by the board, and then approved by the membership. The yearly dues are $285 for individual members.  Corporate membership is $500 and allows a business to become a member, and then send multiple representatives to Rotary on a rotating or every week basis. . Lunch costs $20 each week, and you can either pay lunch each week at the door, or you can pre-pay lunches when you pay your dues.

 

We are a growing club, with about 40 members. Our signature fundraising event is Cruising Downtown, which is held on Saturday of Labor Day weekend, where nearly 600-800 Custom and collectable cars and 40,000 people come to Elm Street for this car show. We typically raise approximately $50,000 which is then reinvested in our community through summer campership awards grants to nonprofit organizations. We also do service projects to support the community. We are a welcoming club and look forward to new ideas and energy.

 

We ask each Rotarian to participate in our Cruising Downtown event and serve on a committee (membership, , service, foundation, etc) and make an attempt to attend 50% of the weekly meetings at least. I've made so many great friends and colleagues and really enjoy the club.
